VIDEO: Gay Dads Matt & Josh Bring Their Twins Home from Mumbai to NYC

11 Aug

Back in May, when our twins were first born (via surrogate), we made a video of going to Mumbai to meet Henry and Julianne for the first time.

Twenty days later, we brought Henry and Julianne home. On our way home from Mumbai, we brought the kids to Wilmington, NC, to meet Matt’s family. Then we rented a car and drove back to New York City.

Here’s that journey, all in a few minutes. 🙂

Hi Josh and Matt! (Henry, Julianne, and of course butters too). I just spent my Saturday reading your entire journey from beginning to end. What an amazing journey it was and I am so happy with the ending! This is such an amazing story of two men who fell in love, got married and longed for a baby. I enjoyed reading every step and I too cried with you both! I’m so honored that I came across this blog. I will forever look for updates of the twins. I do have 1 question… How did you choose their names so quickly without knowing the sex of the babies, maybe that can be your next blog. Thank again for sharing you awe-inspiring journey to becoming dads!

Hi there… we had 2 names for a boy and two names for a girl to cover any possible combination. We both absolutely loved the name Henry, but it doesn’t have any familial history associated with it. Julianne, on the other hand, is named after Matt’s maternal great grandparents, Jules and Anna. Julianne had some pretty amazing great great grandparents.

Hi. We’re Julián and Agus, a married gay couple. We have a son together, Martin, and we’ve created Weerlly (www.weerlly.com) in order to provide homoparental families with products to be identified with. We were very sad when we could’nt find then for our son, so we decided to make them ourselves! We wish you like them! We are on http://www.weerlly.com and on facebook (www.facebook.com/weerlly). Kisses and love, love, love!
